17 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian College of Phlebology
Queensland will be welcoming some of the worlds top Phlebologists later in the month with the 17th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) of the Australasian College of Phlebology (ACP) Conference on the Sunshine Coast.
The four day ASM includes keynote lectures, original papers, panel discussions and the popular ‘Controversies in Phlebology’ key-pad interactive debates. There will also be a one day Ultrasound Workshop covering all aspects of diagnostic imaging. The event draws physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals with an interest in venous disease.
Speakers from around the world including Dr David Wright, Professor Alun Davis (UK) and from closer to home Dr Chris Lekich and Dr Stuart McMaster along with renown vascular surgeon Dr William Campbell will be representing Brisbane and A/Professor Kurosh Parsi from Sydney will be taking to the stage to share their knowledge of best practice and developments relating to Sclerotherapy, EndoVenous Laser Ablation, Ultrasound and much more.
Notably, Dr Steven Zimmet will be attending as central speaker and presenting on the challenges in Phlebology, Pharmacological Interventions and Venous Intervention in Patients with Immune disorders and on Immunosuppressants. Dr Zimmet will engage with leading experts in phlebology from around the world with an aim to share his knowledge and experiences from their vein institute benefiting all patients.
Dr Kemp is looking forward to attending lectures on the latest developments in the treatment of varicose veins and pelvic vein congestion. Meeting phlebologists from around the world is a highlight as it is important to network on a personal level and share experience with other doctors regarding models of best practice for sclerotherapy and endovenous laser ablation as well as other techniques offered overseas.
